bongobobny Posted May 12, 2012 #4 Posted May 12, 2012 Same here!! He was a good man and made a kickin' chilli too!!
Redneck Posted May 12, 2012 #5 Posted May 12, 2012 He sure knew how to make a car sing. We will miss him.
Dano Posted May 12, 2012 #6 Posted May 12, 2012 Considering him one of the Fathers of modern horsepower and racing, just think of the Shelby he built in his garage back in 59 or 60 before they became popular.
Prairiehammer Posted May 12, 2012 #7 Posted May 12, 2012 What a legend! He sure made them Fords sing! And look good doing it! RIP, Mr. Shelby. Darn!
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted May 12, 2012 #8 Posted May 12, 2012 What a legend! He sure made them Fords sing! And look good doing it! RIP, Mr. Shelby. Darn! He made more than just Fords sing but yes that was the largest part of his life. What ever that man touched sang and sang loud. Definitely a huge influence in what we all drove.
Caveman Posted May 12, 2012 #9 Posted May 12, 2012 BIG LOSS! he was a hot rod pioneer and will be missed for sure.
bostonlawman2003 Posted May 12, 2012 #10 Posted May 12, 2012 First I heard of this as well. Thanks for sharing. RIP Carol, I can only imagine what he's driving today! How come this isn't on CNN or Fox News or any other local news station???
Condor Posted May 12, 2012 #11 Posted May 12, 2012 He usually shows up at the Barret Jackson Auctions throughout the year. The last one he was sick and didn't make it.... He will be missed. Talk about leaving a legacy....
Venturous Randy Posted May 12, 2012 #12 Posted May 12, 2012 Even with all his health problems, he was just one of those people that you could think would live forever. RandyA
