Guest Popeye Posted January 8, 2008 Share #4 Posted January 8, 2008 For all those who have great weather....or even a scoot at present [just sold mine & looking for a replacement], please do not post anything about current Riding until I find a scoot or until April. Thank You in advance for your consideration.
Adams99 Posted January 8, 2008 Share #5 Posted January 8, 2008 I live in Hanover, PA and work in Owings Mills, MD. When I heard that it was going to reach 70 degrees today, I decided to take the ole scoot out and stretch them legs. A 75 mile round trip has me itching to do some riding. BTW, turned over a whopping 3000 miles on the way to work this morning, works out to be 333 miles a year. Come spring that will change.
bongobobny Posted January 9, 2008 Share #6 Posted January 9, 2008 Yah, I saw 3 scoots out today, a touring bike, a crotch rocket, and a street bike. Three bikes, in the snow capital of the world, Buffalo, NY...
Paul Posted January 9, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted January 9, 2008 Put on 125 miles today and it was just beautiful, must have seen 30-40 bikes out today. Main roads and hiways were perfect and some of the secondary roads still had some gravel and cinders built up on some parts of the road that you had to be careful on. But I wish it would happen again like that tomorrow but it looks like rain and colder temps starting to head back in. It was a nice break to get to ride in Jan. but I hope it wont be the last until spring. Paul
Dano Posted January 9, 2008 Share #8 Posted January 9, 2008 I had a 2 hour window yesterday afternoon- 5-7 PM while the roads were dry and it was still a little light out. Rain and darkness coming. Let's go! Oops, sons basketball game at 6. Hope you guys had fun! Dan

cmiles3 Posted January 9, 2008 Share #10 Posted January 9, 2008 Been ridin' all year. Some days are better than others; it was in the 70's this past weekend. But the wind blew the stripes of the road. I got in a few rides in the 20's, which is usually against my religion. 30 is my usual limit, but the roads were dry and the timing was good.
