bags529 Posted May 7, 2012 #1 Posted May 7, 2012 It was a pain in the rump, the old seat as my son said " It smells like its got 28 years worth of fart dust in it" when we tore the old torn one off. Progress , continuing progress. 84 VR 120k brought back from the dead.

icebrrg3rd Posted May 7, 2012 #3 Posted May 7, 2012 So what type of material did you use? Use the old seat cover as a pattern? I had used some vinyl from a fabric store on my Maxim a few years back, didn't hold up for too long (I must have gotten the really cheap stuff). Looks good, hope yours lasts a long time. -Andrew
bags529 Posted May 8, 2012 Author #4 Posted May 8, 2012 Marine vinyl 1.5 yards if you don't make any errors its just enough. Yeah we took the old one and made a template, used a leather needle on my great grandmas ancient machine and legitimate upholstery thread from a local shop. And siliconed the seams on inside of the cover to help with any water. It turned out good but not perfect. I think it will last a good bit. Thanks 84 VR 120k brought back from the dead.
