juggler Posted August 19, 2006 #1 Posted August 19, 2006 Lets get this place rocking again by posting how we've added to the best bikes ever made. Report your accessories, mods, add-ons. If you made it yourself post a picture. I'll start! I have installed in my 99 RSV the following: (I bought this bike used so many of these things came with the bike) Hopnel Tank bib Chrome Master cylinder cover Chrome choke knob cover Chrome front fender rail Chrome Kuryakan highway pegs (http://www.kuryakyn.com/) Chrome clutch and brake cylinder covers etched with Royal Star Venture Chrome tail light cover from Cruisercustomizing.com Chrome bag rails - came with the bike Chrome HitchDoc hitch - came with the bike Chrome light hoods - came with the bike Chrome trunk rack - came with the bike Carolina Leather tool pouch for the front Hopnel trunk bib - not installed yet Highway Lights - came with the bike LED light bar under the trunk - wired for running and brake lights LED license plate lights - wired for running and brake lights Purple LED accent lights to show off the best bike on this site. Saddlebum sheep skin seat covers I think that's all. There may be more that I'm forgetting. I know. I need to add pictures. I need new pictures! Here's a few.
Wrongway Posted August 22, 2006 #2 Posted August 22, 2006 My 90 has a ton of add-ons, lots o' lights front and rear, hiway boards, superbrace, Rivco oil filter adapter, heated handgrips, acc. plug, cig. lighter, bottle holders, custom seat with Markland backrest and some other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting. My 04 came with some extra chrome, the part I like best is the air filter covers. They add that needed shine to the black hole in the front. I just added some Kuryaken offset pegs and a DiamondR rider backrest. That's a great looking piece and is an easy install. I also got the Yamaha-Corbin passenger backrest for Debbie. The original hit her back right at the level of her surgical scars and was just uncomfortable. The new one is higher on the back and provides her with better armrests too! Don't need anything else cause we all know that the 04 white/pearl is the best looking and you don't need to add extras to make her look good

Now if I could just find a deal on a padded passenger backrest from a newer model RSV. The quilted type. Craig
juggler Posted August 22, 2006 Author #4 Posted August 22, 2006 Doh! How could I forget. I put the Diamond R Back rest on his spring. My back hasn't hurt since then.

Guest JGorom Posted August 22, 2006 #7 Posted August 22, 2006 My favorite accessory on my RSTD are the Yamaha lowers (keep feet cool in summer and warmer in Spring/Fall). On our Goldwing I would have to say the Alaskan Sheepskin covers for our seats (keep our butts cool in the summer and warmer in Spring/Fall). I have quite a few additional accessories on both bikes...but I have decided to list those that have made the biggest difference in terms of comfort and providing me with the best bang for the buck.
RPG Posted August 22, 2006 #8 Posted August 22, 2006 If I could only keep one, my Utopia would be the last to go.
Guest Jack Adkins Posted August 23, 2006 #9 Posted August 23, 2006 I have a 83 and can not find squat how about some help
Wrongway Posted August 23, 2006 #10 Posted August 23, 2006 Jack, search ebay for some things, adapt other parts to fit. A few of these guys here have done lots with little!
Zfrebird4 Posted September 28, 2006 #11 Posted September 28, 2006 I am looking for a bar strip that I found for my first 86VR that fits on the mirror. That way I knew rather exactly what the outside temp was to be allerted when it got close to freezing. Any clues from anyone would be appreciate. Jack Z Ft. Collins Home of Frebrd2
Gary N. Posted September 28, 2006 #12 Posted September 28, 2006 My favourite accessory is my Gerbings electric jacket.
Skid Posted September 28, 2006 #13 Posted September 28, 2006 Would have to be the intercom so my wife & I can talk to each other, then my second favorite would be the cup holder!
Lone Eagle Posted October 11, 2006 #14 Posted October 11, 2006 I guess my favorite would be the paint job - but the next would be the Harley Trunk - can hold a lot and is comfortable for the co-pilot.
