I had noticed it before and could not find it in the owners' manual or the service manual (maybe I just missed it) and it really didn't bother me much until my Dad asked me what it was and I didn't have an answer...

Sure looks like an air filter housing. Ya know you're suppost to change that filter every now and then...... Just ask Wrong Way (aka Cheap shot). :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have no idea what that darn thing is. I thought that it was kind of an eye sore. So I had the dealer remove both of them before I rode the bike home. It seemed like the bike had more power than I remember on the test ride. :rotf::rotf::rotf:

Looks like a little white glove to me, I don't have one on my 99.
