Rear speakers/headset question

Is this normal? When I change the sound system to the headset setting, I hear the music over the speakers in the rear. It is not very loud, but enough to hear it clearly. The headsets do work when plugged in, but can still hear the sound out of the external speakers. Is this normal?

No sound out of the front speakers in the headset mode.

Yes this is a normal situation.....all the 2nd gens do it.......not sure about those 1st gens.....by now their speakers may have fallen off............:stirthepot:
