Eddie Posted October 27, 2006 #1 Posted October 27, 2006 I dont know if Im getting old or what but Ive been doing some home work on exhaust baffels because my bike seems to be a little to loud for me on the e-way. Its great around town but I dont do that much around town riding. So after a long search and some talking to reps Im going to try these baffels in my 4-2-4 http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=&store=&catId=403&productId=p431326&leafCatId=40304&mmyId=
Squidley Posted October 27, 2006 #2 Posted October 27, 2006 ...and from someone who occasionally rides behind you....WHAT! From what I undrstand baffles break down over time and get a bit louder once they are broke in. I'm sure it will still sound good once your done
Eddie Posted October 27, 2006 Author #3 Posted October 27, 2006 I did do a repak on the baffels that came with the 4-2-4 's but they flow straight through. If you look at these new ones the exhaust will have go around the baffel.
Squidley Posted October 27, 2006 #4 Posted October 27, 2006 I'll be interested in hearing how they sound...BTW how was your moms Bday party??
Al Bates Posted October 27, 2006 #5 Posted October 27, 2006 Cool Eddie, I switch back to the stock HD (with-out dill out) I do like the drilled outs around town, I had the HD drilled outs on for about a year. We went on a lot of trips with them before changing over. We like a little peace of mind.
Eddie Posted October 27, 2006 Author #6 Posted October 27, 2006 I hope its worth it, and you guys think playing with a Harley is expensive. Brad the party went great, My mom had a great time. This was the first time she ever had a birthday party (which I didnt know till I started planning it). Had about 60 people there with so much food and desserts that I had to be rolled out of there. Sure wish I could of been in two places at once that day but you know moms come first.
Squidley Posted October 27, 2006 #7 Posted October 27, 2006 Glad it went well for you Bro...we did miss you but Momma comes 1st so we all understand that I threw my mom her 40th Bday party when I was home on leave in the service. Took about 4 hours to plan it and get it all together, was 1 hell ova blast and we still talk about to this day. I'm sure your mom will always remember her 60th....Good on ya Bro!
