There is a spot just above the ser.# on top of tranny that has #'s scribed in it with two arrows, one pointing to rear and one to the left. Do's anyone no what they mean?????????????Denny:)

I'm guessing that it is the shimming needed for proper gear lash, of the transmission output. As there is a change of direction in the path of power, from the transmission gears to the driveshaft.
