I Converted the Cassette Deck to a Storage Area

Hi All

 

I converted the cassette deck to a storage area this afternoon. It worked out quite nicely which I plan to keep my Ipod and garage door opener in. I followed the the instructions from the following link to ventures.org.

I did the same with my 88VR. Still use the plastic CD player cover, but now it covers a spacious storage area. In my case, I use that area for a bunck of switches and to house my 12 volt plug that are all weather protected by the old CD player cover.

But how are you playing your cassette tapes?

We did the same thing, and keep our I pod in it.

Be nice if Yamaha did something different with the area too.

Nice job. There's many of us here who have done that to the cassette deck area, myself included. I sometimes forget it's there since I never used or opened that door before.

I did it too. Lined the innards with self stick rubber/foam sheets.

Put an 8 track in that bad boy. I hear ya, I like the idea of the mp3 player that takes a memory stick. I have the ipod in the bag but only use it on trips.
