EL Cid Posted May 25, 2012 #52 Posted May 25, 2012 The question should be Who hasn't ridden their Venture across the country. Len:bluesbrother:
woody071585 Posted May 25, 2012 #53 Posted May 25, 2012 No!!!!!!!! Not that i don't trust it I don't have sunscreen lol
dacheedah Posted May 25, 2012 #54 Posted May 25, 2012 Yes, I would ride with almost anyone ( friends don't let friends wear Cubs stuff in public ) just sayin
Evan Posted May 25, 2012 #55 Posted May 25, 2012 Would you ride it cross country tomorrow....??? The day after our 7500 mile "Venture West" last year, my wife said that we should do a "Venture East" to Newfoundland this summer which was music to my ears! With over 100,000 miles on my 88VR, I would still not hesitate, although I would prefer to spend a few days doing some preventative maintenance work such as new wheel bearings, plus a new front tire as my E3 now has about 30,000 miles on it.
reddevilmedic Posted May 25, 2012 #56 Posted May 25, 2012 planning on it next week! northern michigan to key west and back!
jburrell Posted May 25, 2012 #57 Posted May 25, 2012 In your Venture. Would you ride it cross country tomorrow....??? Been there done that. At least part of the way 2700 miles Texas to Mississippi North to North Carolina, then off to Virginia and back across Tennesse, Arkansas and Louisianna to Texas. Rode the Dragon and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I wanna go to Denver next maybe further north. These bikes run forever and it you can do your own maintenance there is not much to worry about plus you have members that will help in case of emergency. Ride it like you stole it.
Rick Haywood Posted May 26, 2012 #58 Posted May 26, 2012 We gonna meet up someplace. I would ride mine anyplace anytime without any worries.
BuddyRich Posted May 26, 2012 #59 Posted May 26, 2012 Yep. In a heartbeat. Its my body that would have the problems, The bike would be fine.
Dragonslayer Posted May 26, 2012 #60 Posted May 26, 2012 I'm gonna ride one of them to the north border 700 miles for Don's maintenance day next week. I just haven't decided which one the 87 MK2 or the 07 midnight second gen.
