PBJ Posted October 4, 2012 #26 Posted October 4, 2012 Beautiful Bike makes me wish I still had my 85 Brownie. Mine was in similar shape when i drove to Michigan to get it. My brother, who had come with me, thought i was nuts and shouldn't buy it. This is what it looked like though after I did exactly what you did. Took it apart and cleaned it top to bottom. Sanded the engine cases and polished the front forks. I even had to clean the scratches out of the top part of the windshield .
KenP Posted July 18, 2013 #28 Posted July 18, 2013 Nice job on that. One suggestion from a former 1st Genner..... If you put progressive springs on the front and toss those anti-dives, then with those new tires it will ride REALLY nice.
