Got this geared motor at work today from one of the other engineer's. There may be a couple of more available.

I don't know what it was intended for.

12V motor, not a servo motor. Only 2 wire input.

What can this motor be made to do on a Venture.

Really, you know me, I may just try the best ideas.

Hey Gary,

How about a power windshield raiser/lowerer, or a power windshield vent opener. OR a power seat adjuster. OR a power center stand like the NASCAR vehicles have.:confused24:

Just thinking out loud!

Does it just spin one way ? Can it reverse ? What type of power/gear type ration does it have ? Does it have more torque than a 2nd Gen ? ( Sorry couldn't resist)

Tell us what the motor can do, we will figure out what to do with it ! :detective:

Well now, what kind of 12v does this run on,,, maybe we've forgot that we have used up about all the 'ambient' 12v we have.

Good point..so how about it raises and lowers the case for 2nd battery that is installed to run that motor. :confused24:

You could turn your antique first gen into a prius. you would probably have to make some drive train upgrades so it would handle the extra power. :stirthepot:

How about a robotic cassette swapper outer?

Or maybe an automatic coin tosser for the toll booths?

Or a parking brake actuator for those living in San Francisco?

Or an automatic magnifying glass deployer so I can see the screen on my GPS?

Or a back scratcher when you're riding solo and have heavy winter gloves on and not a stick in sight?
