TampaKH Posted April 19, 2012 Author #26 Posted April 19, 2012 OK Mini-Muffin, I'll take a black one I guess.. I was hoping for one that would express the background of my Welsh surname though. This is one of the last things I would normally worry about when my hands were bound behind my back. I believe I'm starting to exhibit symptoms of this forum previously mentioned. I'm going to keep positive..
reddevilmedic Posted April 20, 2012 #27 Posted April 20, 2012 OK Mini-Muffin,I was hoping for one that would express the background of my Welsh surname though. "Tampa" is welsh???
TampaKH Posted April 20, 2012 Author #28 Posted April 20, 2012 LoL!! I'm sure there is a community of Welsh somewhere around here, there is one of everything else, but no...my last name (surname) is.

TampaKH Posted April 20, 2012 Author #34 Posted April 20, 2012 Thanks Aussie Ann. I've met a few amazin' ones already. Definately will do on the Meet & Eats. RDM...the "K" and "H" didn't freak me out as much as the "B" and the "S" did...

Aussie Ann, I sent a "care package" to a friend that moved there for Christmas. She was dying for Sweet Potato Pie and Green Bean Casserole and apparently canned Sweet Potatoes and French Fried Onion Stix are unavailable in Oz. Soooo....almost $90 later she had a bunch of both.

Brake Pad Posted April 20, 2012 #42 Posted April 20, 2012 Definately will do on the Meet & Eats. And, the very best way to do this, Is set one up. Find a nice A/C'd Mom & Pop join. Start a new tread in the M&G page, and set a date about 6 weeks out. If you post it, they will come.
mini-muffin Posted April 20, 2012 #43 Posted April 20, 2012 OK Mini-Muffin, I'll take a black one I guess.. I was hoping for one that would express the background of my Welsh surname though. This is one of the last things I would normally worry about when my hands were bound behind my back. I believe I'm starting to exhibit symptoms of this forum previously mentioned. I'm going to keep positive.. Maybe we could manage a little coat of arms on it somewhere. Of course now everyone will want one.:crackup: Margaret
Trader Posted April 20, 2012 #44 Posted April 20, 2012 So you say you are from a Welsh background??? In that case...you may enjoy this post from the Jokes and Humor Forum!! Borrowed from a FB Friend... I was in a pub on Saturday night. Had a few drinks........ I noticed two large women by the bar. ... They both had strong accents so I asked "Hey, are you two ladies from Scotland?" One of them screamed "It's WALES you friggin' IDIOT!" So, I immediately apologized and said "Sorry, are you two whales from Scotland?" That's all I remember...
TampaKH Posted April 21, 2012 Author #45 Posted April 21, 2012 LoL! Great joke, Trader. Nowhere near where I thought it was going to go, but still one that I'm going to pass around! No no...MiniMuffin...I'll take the off the rack one and go buy a Bedazzler, some zippers and red white and blue guitar strap. I'm going to go for a Liberace/Micheal Jackson/Willie Nelson motif. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. As far as fitting in, I certainly hope so. After all, how could I not feel welcome with a $500, three page "welcome the newb" post!?! Thanks
FuzzyRSTD Posted April 21, 2012 #46 Posted April 21, 2012 Welcome ........ :thumbsup2: Best $12.00 I ever spent.........

TampaKH Posted April 23, 2012 Author #50 Posted April 23, 2012 I'm blown away. I've been on other forums where it took you months for newbs to even get a question answered much less 4pgs of "Welcome aboards". Very happy to have found the site and looking forward to a Meet & Eat. How would I go about finding members in the Tampa area? Is there a MAP ME that I havent found yet?
