Utopia Backrest 1st Gen. ??

I just recived my new backrest from Utopia and I'm just a bit concerned about the measurement back . They say 1 1/2" from the front of the molded drivers bucket. When I hold this in a dry fit it just looks off . Has anyone installed this backrest on a !st gen and is that right? thanks you all.Bill

Just got home and seen this. I installed the utopia on my 84 and really like it. I thought the measurements and instructions that came with it were right on. Hope you like yours.
