mbrood Posted April 18, 2012 #1 Posted April 18, 2012 Entertainment Icon Dick Clark passed away this morning (Wednesday) at the age of 82 following a massive heart attack it was announced by his family. Clark, 82, had entered St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica last night for an outpatient procedure. Attempts to resuscitate were unsuccessful. He is survived by his wife Kari and his three children, RAC, Duane and Cindy.
Bobby G Posted April 18, 2012 #3 Posted April 18, 2012 He lived a great life, gave us some great memories, great music, fabulous TV game shows like $25,000 Pyramid, and was always the first one to wish us a Happy New Year. He always closed American Bandstand by saying "For now, Dick Clark....so long", and gave a salute in honor of his older brother who was killed in WWII. A true 20th century American icon, right up there with Bob Hope.
DragonRider Posted April 19, 2012 #5 Posted April 19, 2012 Nearly all of them are gone, always like Dick Clark, I can remember watche AB on Saturdays, always a great show, one for the ages, had lots of great music talent and always treated them with awe and respect. Rest in peace Mr. Clark. You will be missed!
