RSTAR08 Posted April 10, 2012 #1 Posted April 10, 2012 So, I just put new Pirelli 66's on the bike and three hrs into my trip I get a flat tire out back!!!?@#@%$#@???"""> Had to hang around until Monday for new tire- only had a Dunlop 402/404(? whatever) in stock. I suppose I should be glad no crash happened- 60mph & picked up metal scrap in construction zone. Later
RSTDdog Posted April 10, 2012 #2 Posted April 10, 2012 Same thing happened to Dave (ZipCode), see watering hole thread. Metal or something after going through construction zone. Dave went down, a little banged up, sore but OK. If you kept the shiny side up you did good. RSTDdog
mm482 Posted April 10, 2012 #3 Posted April 10, 2012 Sure glad you and the bike are OK. All things conscidered a tire is cheap. I have had a rear go down fast and it was no fun. Earl
RSTAR08 Posted April 10, 2012 Author #4 Posted April 10, 2012 All told I can't complain too much- escaped unharmed, bike as well. Just wallet damage- but I'm used to that. LOL Luckily the air escaped slowly so when the high-speed wobble kicked in I was fortunate not to be in a curve or changing lanes (with all the crazy "four wheels" flyin' around I kept to the right and did not have to cross lanes to move off road).
