I think you would need a large capacity fuel tank to replace the V4....or else it would be a wheelie machine for sure!

A buddy built a VW trike in the 70's....had a hard time keeping the front wheel on the ground.

Ir is interesting to say the least. I know I no longer have that much ambition.

Was it not a common practice to fill the frames with lead on those old VW trikes as an attempt to keep the front wheel down?

Thanks for the post!

I've been thinking of doing that very same thing. I have an engine & trany from a microbus stashed away for if/when I actually get around to it. I've been wondering how it would look. Now I know. I've been looking for an automatic trany instead of the manual though. I remember seeing them as an option on some VW trike builders website, but I can't remember where. I see he mentions an "auto-stick trans". Never heard of one. I also see he still has the radiator in place for some reason. I was thinking fiberglass instead of steel though. Lighter and able to smooth out the corners a bit better. But all-in-all, I like it. So if anybody has any ideas they want to throw my way, please feel free.
