Need help on 2nd gen trunk rack

I am not near my bike right now, but I have a computer!! Does anyone know the diameter of the bars on the luggage rack that goes on the trunk lid of a 2nd gen?

1/2 " on trunk rack. 3/4" on saddlebags rails.

I may be wrong but when I just measured a spare rack all the tubing measures aprox. 7/8th" with the exception of the rear cross member at 1/2" Perhaps there are two different sized racks???

 

EDIT: Dang I was thinking of the mounting rack, not the 'luggage' rack... My bad, should have looked a little closer.
