920shrek1 Posted March 27, 2012 #1 Posted March 27, 2012 Was woundering if Gold Wingers have a site like this? A friend i work with has a Gold Wing and was looking for some tips on tunning it and was looking for some help, was telling him about this wounderful site that the VENTURE RIDES have wanted to know if there was one for WINGERS as well were he could get some help. Thanks
SilvrT Posted March 27, 2012 #2 Posted March 27, 2012 There's lots of "Wingers" here that can help but I also use GL eighteen hundred riders dot com (can I post this here?) .... watch out for the "flamers" over there tho. For the most part, it's a good site.
DarkLeftArm Posted March 27, 2012 #3 Posted March 27, 2012 Never really looked, but my opinion is that there is NO other forum like this. Your 'wing friend could probably find more info here about his bike than elsewhere.
SilvrT Posted March 27, 2012 #4 Posted March 27, 2012 my opinion is that there is NO other forum like this. That's true!! Your 'wing friend could probably find more info here about his bike than elsewhere. That's not necessarilly true. A dedicated Wing forum will have folks who know wings inside and out for many, many years and have posted tons of technical info. Similar to how this forum is with the Venture.
Midrsv Posted March 27, 2012 #5 Posted March 27, 2012 Lot's of GW information on www.GL1800riders.com but it sure not as friendly of a place to visit as here. Although there are quite a few wing riders here also. Dennis
Pegasus1300 Posted March 27, 2012 #6 Posted March 27, 2012 Does anyone know if there is a similar site for GL1500 riders?
Keemez Posted March 27, 2012 #7 Posted March 27, 2012 Does anyone know if there is a similar site for GL1500 riders? http://www.northamericangoldwings.com/view_forum.php?id=24
Pam Posted March 27, 2012 #8 Posted March 27, 2012 http://www.goldwingdocs.com/index.asp These guys seem to be into the 1100 1200 and 1500 wings
SilvrT Posted March 27, 2012 #9 Posted March 27, 2012 Does anyone know if there is a similar site for GL1500 riders? or here... http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/ and yet another... http://forums.delphiforums.com/GoldWingII/start FWIW ... I posted the Q on GL1800Riders.com and within seconds had several answers.
Aimhigh Posted March 27, 2012 #10 Posted March 27, 2012 There are no sites like venturerider.org...this site is in a league of its own. But there are a couple of liste I visit for info on wings...as someone already said, there are some jerks on the site, but you can get a lot of good info. I will post the links to to two that I visit...MODERATORS...if I shouldn't not do this, I am trusting to delete my posting...thanks: http://gl1800riders.com/forums/index.php http://www.goldwingowners.com/
Roadhand Posted March 27, 2012 #11 Posted March 27, 2012 I agree, the Venture site is the best people I know (& some I don't)
PBJ Posted March 28, 2012 #12 Posted March 28, 2012 Ya know this site was recommended to me by a guy from a Honda Ace shadow Tour site and they are also a very nice site. In fact I believe several of our members here are members there as well because their wives and signifigant others ride Shadows.
CantWin1 Posted March 28, 2012 #13 Posted March 28, 2012 I'd take a look at http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/ as mentioned above. Just got my Venture after spending the past 6 months or so on an old Wing, '86. Tons of info on all years of wings. Alot of technical info isn't necessarily exclusive to Wings, 4 carbs, shaft drive, lighting, plastic work, etc. Hope to make this my new home, tho!
