Condor Posted January 4, 2008 #1 Posted January 4, 2008 WOW!! 50-60 knot winds, rain. One heck of a storm rolling thru. So far I've lost the gates in the back fence and about 50 feet of side fencing. The window in the office sounds like a digery-do. Tried to save some of the fence and then said screw it and came back inside. Hope the roof stays put.......
BuddyRich Posted January 4, 2008 #2 Posted January 4, 2008 Hey Jack. Time to move to Texas? :rotf: Good luck with the storm. Daughter called last night and said we lost part of the fence there.

I hear tell that Texas' gets their fair share of wind. You can have this one if'n you want.... Gotta talk that way to these Texans.... I understand that there are about 50 different names for wind....chinook, mariha, santana, etc. This one's 'Frijole'... This thing is supposed to last the rest of the day and into tomorrow. No telling what it's gonna look like (Californian) in the morning....:rotf:

Lone Eagle Posted January 4, 2008 #8 Posted January 4, 2008 Hang in there, Jack - it's really howling now - feels twice as bad as this morning.
BoxerX2 Posted January 4, 2008 #9 Posted January 4, 2008 Here in Oklahoma we keep rocks in our pockets for days like that. Good Luck
Condor Posted January 4, 2008 Author #10 Posted January 4, 2008 Hang in there, Jack - it's really howling now - feels twice as bad as this morning. Yeah, It's really bad up here in Sac. I've lost about 50-60 feet of fence, the cover to the patio, the two back RV gates. Lost power for about 2 hours.... actually was supprised it came back on so quickly. Hear on the news that 200,000 people are with out electricity. I just fired up the Honda EU2000 and watched a movie.... :-) Right now it still interrupted by blasts that shake the house and office. WooHooo!!!!!

Dano Posted January 5, 2008 #14 Posted January 5, 2008 Hmmmm, sounds like a normal spring here in the midwest, what with our tornadoes and such. You never lived till you stand outside your garage and watch one pass by within a hundred yards of you. Perfectly calm, normal around me. A good football throw away, complete and utter devastation. Happened last year. Good luck to you guys out there, and we'll send a snow shovel for those of you in the higher elevations. Dan
