sleadhed Posted January 4, 2008 #1 Posted January 4, 2008 My old one piece don't fit no more! what size do you that have Frogg Toggs recommend I get (two piece) I am 6.0 and 190lbs. they must fit well over chaps and a armored leather jacket. Thanks All
sarges46 Posted January 4, 2008 #2 Posted January 4, 2008 Just judging by the sizing charts in a couple of stores that sell them online, I would say you need a xl long+ 185-230lbs up 6'3". It may flap a little. I like mine and its a loose fit...or at least it was until it shrunk....no I grew...lol.
Guest KitCarson Posted January 4, 2008 #3 Posted January 4, 2008 You are about my size.......you should obtain an extra large long size. Also consider if buying a two piece suit........and if you really do intend to ride in the rain for any distance.......the standard pants/jacket style are just about worthless.....rain will get up under the jacket......pants pull down......water runs into cracks:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I have found the pants should be the bib overall style......with straps or suspendors.......this works very well in actually keeping water off of you. As for wearing over your jacket and leathers......in cooler weather you maybe can......in normal temps or warmer weather......forget it.......take all that stuff of and stuff it in the saddlebags and put the rain suit on by itself.....otherwise you will melt!! NO matter what the hype is by any company....rain suits are hot....humid and hot......in warm weather......you have to wear them by themselves.

Kit, Are you speaking from experience about Frogg Toggs being hot and leaking? I have worn my black FT's (2 piece) through torrential downpours....raining so hard I had to pull over because I couldn't see more than about 50 feet. I have not had problems with leaking as you describe. Jacket doesn't pull up, pants don't fall down, and I don't get wet like you describe. Yes they are a bit warmer than not having them on at all, but not nearly as bad as any other rainsuit I have ever worn. I wear them over my leathers a lot, and don't suffer from it. Joe
Pilot Posted January 4, 2008 #5 Posted January 4, 2008 Try and find a dealer who has them in stock and go try them on and get the size. That's what I did, then I found the best price online.
BEER30 Posted January 4, 2008 #6 Posted January 4, 2008 Wife and I both have 2 peice Frogg-Toggs . No problems what so ever ! Besides , one peices suits ride up my crack when bending over and just cruising . Besides the benefits when having to do the #2 at rest areas . BEER30
ediddy Posted January 4, 2008 #7 Posted January 4, 2008 I rode from Albany, GA to Daytona for biketoberfest. It was raining when I left and rained on us all day until we got to Daytona. My frogg toggs never leaked a drop of water. They are cooler than any other rain suit you can buy. I have the orange color because I want to be seen but they are no longer making this color. They said there weren't enough sales of the orange to continue making it. The best price is Outdoor Boss.com. They are the largest distributor of frogg toggs in the U.S.
eagleeye Posted January 4, 2008 #8 Posted January 4, 2008 I have the two piece made for motorcycles, black with reflective striping, and am about the same size as you and have a size Large. It fits very well over my leather jacket, and the pants also fit over anything I'm wearing. the only negative thing that I have to say about them is that the female part where the zipper starts is too short, and you MUST keep the snaps snapped or it will open from the bottom--not a good thing! I agree with everyone else on them being a good rainsuit. I would definately buy them online though. Steve
Royal Venturer Posted January 4, 2008 #9 Posted January 4, 2008 I'm 6'1" 210 I found the xxl pants with the xl top to be more to my liking......legs are a little longer.
