Naked Rider Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 i was looking at craigslist and came acroos this bike the owner said it is a yahama avenger Royale. it looks like a 84 maybe and 85 venture http://semo.craigslist.org/mcy/2906259794.html
friesman Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I am not sure as the pic isnt closeup, but I think it has the bigger trunk, and that would make it an 85. It sure aint gonna get 60mpg, so I would doubt everything else about this bike too. Brian
Keemez Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Haha. Apparently this guy doesn't know the difference between Dodge and Yamaha. And I'm with Brian- 60+mpg my posterior. Sorta like this guy with his "Kevorkian" pegs and accessories: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVWtiLxe614]1987 Yamaha Venture Royale For Sale on Ebay - YouTube[/ame]
darthandy Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Probably couldn't pronounce "Venture" ... or as stated, he may have thought it was a Chrysler product! 60 mpg? Not even on a Canadian gallon. This guy sounds like a real "storyteller" ... and not a very bright one! Andy
Rick Haywood Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 i was looking at craigslist and came acroos this bike the owner said it is a yahama avenger Royale. it looks like a 84 maybe and 85 venture http://semo.craigslist.org/mcy/2906259794.html it looks like the one Alan was riding when he was here from down under. I doubt the damn thing gets 60 mpg but the one Alan was rding got 42 + pulling that trailer. Everytime we stop going to Vogel I'd fill up and take 4 gallon and he'd take 2.8. I think he was showing off
Yammer Dan Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Hmmmm, what did P.T. Barnum say??? That those 2nd Gen were never gonna catch the 1st Gens!!!
Kirby Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Just remember the story about the Tortose and the hare.
