SilvrT Posted March 19, 2012 #2 Posted March 19, 2012 Those are the kind of rides I like ... now if only we'd get some decent weather, we might get at least a one day ride in...

fxitdude Posted March 19, 2012 #5 Posted March 19, 2012 I have a 2010 also I have 18K on mine already. I like those spur of the moment trips also. Good to hear all went well on your ride.
w.steve wells Posted March 19, 2012 Author #6 Posted March 19, 2012 hi fxit, love the bike, this being my second rvs, tho i do think the seat on the 06 was more comfortable, i only have 7200 on it thus far i was laid up most of last season but i'll catch up this yr steve:325:
fxitdude Posted March 19, 2012 #7 Posted March 19, 2012 I am hauling mine to California this summer so the wife and I can ride highway 1 in Cali and Oregon can't wait. Wifes butt would not allow riding it out there.
Pam Posted March 19, 2012 #8 Posted March 19, 2012 Those are the best trips. Gotto love a woman who navigates like that.
PBJ Posted March 19, 2012 #9 Posted March 19, 2012 Wow talk about spur of the moment! what i wouldn"t give to just be able to go like that.
Yammer Dan Posted March 19, 2012 #10 Posted March 19, 2012 Went to the store after milk once. Called the wife from the next state.
Eck Posted March 19, 2012 #11 Posted March 19, 2012 She got a sister?? :rotf: I went for a ride one day, called home to my wife from NC and came back 4 days later.... wished she could ride as much as I want to but she just doesnt like riding... 1,114 miles is the longest she ever rode with me ..4 days 3 nights.. This was the Natches Trace ride I threw (4) yrs ago..
Howard B Posted March 20, 2012 #12 Posted March 20, 2012 I would highly recommend Hwy 1 for a great ride. We did Hwy 1 from Fort Bragg, Ca. to San Francisco this year. The only problem, the bike was on the back of our bus. A converted Greyhound. And we were pulling our jeep. For those that have never been on Hwy 1, there isn't room for a bus on Hwy 1. Several times we had to backup in order to negotiate very very very tight turns. I also managed to introduce the bus and the Jeep to one of the guard rails. Be very careful and you will really enjoy the ride!!!!
