Will these Mufflers work?

Just wondering if these mufflers would work on my venture. There from a '80's Yamaha. These are for sale in my city for $45.

the slipons muffler part does look a lot like our G1 mufflers, but I am betting that the tab isnt far enough back to line up with our bikes. (but ive been wrong so many times I cant count...lol)

My guess would be that they're going to be way too short. The mid 80's Yamaha's mufflers always looked short to me on the UJMs. If they are in really good shape they would probably be worth getting just to resell.

That looks like the exhaust system from an 81-83 Yamaha Seca 750. I used to own one. That`s a great price!

Call the guy to see what size bike they were on, there is a number on them (if stock) that you can cross reference back to a bike. If they're from a 650 they probably wouldn't flow enough for a Venture. If they are from a 1100, get them & chop them off & mount them to the rest of your system.

 

And yes, the Maxims & Secas stock exhaust ends well short of the end of the bike, and they're a short bike too, but you wouldn't be using the whole exhaust anyways, just the mufflers, right? Make your own mounting points if necessary.
