I had an 06 rstd midnight, traded it last year in Ft Worth. But, it had it really bad. I had it swapped out with the I basket (comes with a G basket if I remember correctly). It helped a lot with mine. It was still there, but very tolerable. I think Yamaha calls it the primary. At one time we posted the actual part # for it somewhere. If you go this route, you'll also need to order the cover gasket. Like some have said, theirs came back over time, mine didn't. Also, thick oil like 20w50 will make it worse.
