GolfVenture Posted March 16, 2012 #1 Posted March 16, 2012 I just purchased a Chrome Radiator Grill from ebay and learned that I need spacers for correct installation. Was wonder if someone with one of these might remove a spacer and post the diameter and thickness of the spacer. There is a Mclendons Hardware store near by and they have all sorts of spacers in various sizes. I would also think that a Nylon Spacer would work for it would be far enough away from the Radiator heat. If I can't find the exact size I might be able to find one long spacer and chop saw it to the specific length.
bongobobny Posted March 16, 2012 #2 Posted March 16, 2012 The spacers come out to just past the side radiator covers if that helps you out any. In a pinch you can use a large nut or stack some washers...
dingy Posted March 16, 2012 #3 Posted March 16, 2012 Standard radiator cover is 14 15/16" inside at mounting boss points. Ventureline radiator is 15 3/4" +/- at inside mount points. This can flex some so don't hurt yourself getting down to .005". It can probably flex an 1/8" on each side. Its bendable aluminum. Got this one from Bongo a few years ago, it has had a face lift & powder coated. Gary
