Ordered a back rest today from Utopia was just wondering if we had a venturerider discount with them listed in the comments for riding groups but didn't see a price change.

No. I approached them years ago about a discount and they told me that their margins are so slim that they just couldn't offer discounts. They gave a link back to our site is all.

Got one on mine. I like it. I am still tweaking it to my fit. Sort of a work in progress. But it has kept the lower back from suffering to bad.

Great backrest! I did add a nut to the adjustment screw, mine kept loosening as I rode. Fixed the issue and I love it.

Yup Dave I made the same mod on the adjustment screw.

I added the nut when I got mine too. I rode HDs for 18 years, and wouldn't have considered not locking it down. I thought they forgot it.

 

Great backrest though, had mine 6 1/2 years now.

My comfort point is with the adjustment screw completely backed out. Would be sitting too straight up with a nut on there.

Can you put the nut on the other side of the bracket?

Do you even need the bolt if it's backed all the way out?
