Marcarl Posted March 12, 2012 #1 Posted March 12, 2012 Anybody deal with Yamaha Sports Plaza in Fairview OR. I ordered some parts from them, and wonder how they are to deal with. They claim to be the biggest in NA, but they did take my money before they had all the parts together.... so I was just wondering.

I ordered my luggage rack and a few other smaller parts from them, they seemed all right. Their prices are very good as a rule. Ron
Guest Posted March 12, 2012 #3 Posted March 12, 2012 Carl, yamaha sports plaza is pretty good to deal with but I have used this place for my last several orders with complete satisfaction: http://www.stadiumyamaha.com/ Just my 3 cents worth here.....
ronnie86 Posted March 12, 2012 #4 Posted March 12, 2012 I`ve bought parts from Yamaha Sports Plaza for several years now with no problems.
Black Owl Posted March 12, 2012 #5 Posted March 12, 2012 Used them one time to order a tank bib for the Virago. Not a happy experience... Took forever to get the order. Always on back order whenever I called to do a follow up. No contact from them to keep me up-dated on status of order. Will not deal with them again.
MikeWa Posted March 12, 2012 #6 Posted March 12, 2012 I have ordered from them on several occasions. They have always done well for me. Mike
bongobobny Posted March 12, 2012 #7 Posted March 12, 2012 I've bought from them as well and was satrisfied, but nowdays I just order the stuff from Pioneer Motorsports and save the shipping charges. Pioneer gives us 15% off. They are right around the corner from me so that's why no shipping costs...
Squidley Posted March 13, 2012 #8 Posted March 13, 2012 I have used them several times and have good luck with them every time. They worked with me and their prices were very good. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again
Gary N. Posted March 13, 2012 #9 Posted March 13, 2012 I bought all the bling (safety chrome) on my bike from them.
Marcarl Posted March 13, 2012 Author #10 Posted March 13, 2012 Thanks guys,, other than their communications being a little on the wanting side, so far so good. I think I'll send the boss a note on their lack of talk.

Hey Carl, Not sure what you bought from them but I just compared their price for Kenda tires and they're way more expensive than Royal Distributing. The closest store to you and I would be Guelph. They are reasonably priced and they have the tent sale (no tax on anything...even special order stuff) coming up April 19th to 29th. During this sale you can also scratch and save up to 75% (I think). Just thought I'd put that out there!
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted March 13, 2012 #12 Posted March 13, 2012 I have used Yamaha Sports Plaza several times and have always been happy with their service and delivery times. Getting anything over the boarder is never easy anymore but Yamaha Sports Plaza seems to make it work well. :mo money: :mo money: :mo money: :mo money: :mo money: For items like tires and chains for my bikes I do prefer to shop localy. just me
kbran Posted March 13, 2012 #13 Posted March 13, 2012 I've used them many times as well and have never had a problem.

Sometimes things go on back order through no fault of their own. However they could have kept you in the loop but that is something that very rarely happens anymore from any source. I ordered and bought gaskets and covers for my clutch and brake master through the local dealer and even totally forgot about it myself . Almost a year later they called to say that they finally came in. It had been so long that I had forgotten what it was I ordered until I actually saw it.:bang head:
BradT Posted March 15, 2012 #15 Posted March 15, 2012 I think you only get the decent discounts if you purchase on line only. Brad
