MidlifeVenture Posted March 6, 2012 #15 Posted March 6, 2012 Got it years ago to keep an eye on the children's accounts then wouldn't you know they have the same subliminals this place does cause you get hooked:scared:
SMSgt Posted March 7, 2012 #16 Posted March 7, 2012 I'm not a facebook fan. My wife does but I have never gotten into it. I doubt if I ever will. But I'll always keep coming back here.
Aussie Annie Posted March 7, 2012 #17 Posted March 7, 2012 Never thought I would either, then while on our trip in the U.S. people kept asking if I was on FB Finally a certain little girl in TN asked "Aussie" if she would do it so we could "talk" Yep, I'm on FB now
Monty Posted March 7, 2012 #18 Posted March 7, 2012 If I wasn't on Facebook, I would have never found over 200 of my old shipmates, and organized a reunion for this June. Haven't seen most of them in over 20 years.
Skid Posted March 7, 2012 #20 Posted March 7, 2012 I'm on Facebook but don't post as much as some people. It was nice to connect with 3/4 of my classmates after 30 years. Still on here more than Facebook.

dingy Posted March 8, 2012 #22 Posted March 8, 2012 What does Facebook do for us that this site lacks? Will the Facebook site tend to diminish peoples involvement here, thus weakening this group? I am not in favor of seeing an alternate/rival site being started that would drain resources from what we have here. I am on Facebook, but really don't see all the hype about it. I work for a large sensor company. Several months ago there was a lot of talk about how our company needed to be on Facebook and consultants were brought in to assist with that. My thoughts were if I was a large manufacturer of say clothes dryers and I needed a sensor for a new model, I don't think I would be using Facebook as a credible source of parts. Gary
Mel Posted March 8, 2012 #25 Posted March 8, 2012 one of us never will do facebook am I missing something ? naw :sign yeah that: Make that two of us!!!
