Yammer Dan Posted March 3, 2012 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2012 JC Whitney?? I saw those. Need to match up intake size for one thing. Somebody here must have tried them. Looks like it could be done with orginal mounts. Maybe...

Pegasus1300 Posted March 3, 2012 Share #4 Posted March 3, 2012 Anything can be made to work anywhere, how much time talent and money do you want to throw at it.The clue is the fine print at the bottom of the ad and the picture of the mufflers..The 1st gen mufflers are angled as they come out from under the bike.In order for these to work you will need to create a set of adapter pipes to go from the collector under the bike up to the mufflers. If you don't have access to a large tubing bender maybe a muffler shop can help you out. Now there is someone on this site who has done something similer and they posted pictures here a couple of days ago.
Yammer Dan Posted March 3, 2012 Share #5 Posted March 3, 2012 Thats what I was thinking. Trouble with connecting to the bike but a muffler shop could make a adapter with the right bend?

Pegasus1300 Posted March 3, 2012 Share #9 Posted March 3, 2012 Here in this tech section is a thread called "Mufflers?". It is on the 2nd page of the 1st gen tech sction. Has pictures of putting straight mufflers on a 1st gen. Good luck
jasonm. Posted March 3, 2012 Share #10 Posted March 3, 2012 those will not fit ..."right out of the box". Because there is a 15- 20 degree bend after the chamber, in the stock Venture pipe to clear the bags. So you need to take some short pipe and do a bend. Snaggletooth Posted March 3, 2012 Share #13 Posted March 3, 2012 I have the Mac's on my '84. Can't really call them loud but I do like the rumble. Now that cackle at a 6 grand shift does remind me of a 350 chevy quite a bit.
FROG MAN Posted March 3, 2012 Author Share #14 Posted March 3, 2012 YOU ARE WELCOMe:), I just hope you LIKE:shock3: LOUD. My vmax had a kerker on it. Now that was loud.:rotf:Sound travels at 1200 fps. The only way I got some peace and quiet was to outrun the noise. Now I remember why I sold that bike. Yammer Dan Posted March 3, 2012 Share #15 Posted March 3, 2012 My vmax had a kerker on it. Now that was loud.:rotf:Sound travels at 1200 fps. The only way I got some peace and quiet was to outrun the noise. Now I remember why I sold that bike. That little 750 was pretty loud with the baffles in. I took pity on everyone and left them in at the Skid-In. When we gonna tune that thing??
