XV1100SE Posted March 2, 2012 #1 Posted March 2, 2012 Per CNN....happened this morning : A tornado emergency was declared in Madison County, Alabama, as a large and dangerous tornado was reported to have caused widespread damage in the city of Meridianville .... In adjacent Limestone County, just west of Huntsville, at least one apparent tornado was reported.... Forecasters said the areas most at risk for twisters on Friday would be southern Indiana, southern Ohio, most of Kentucky, central Tennessee, northeastern Mississippi and northwestern Alabama. Hope our members in those areas are safe !
bknsaddle Posted March 2, 2012 #2 Posted March 2, 2012 Safe in Madison, AL. Two tornadoes passed just North of us causing lots of property damage, but I have not heard of any casualties. More expected this afternoon.....
GAWildKat Posted March 2, 2012 #3 Posted March 2, 2012 my area od Middle GA is expected to be hit in the overnight hrs tonight, but NW GA is expected to be hit hard this afternoon into the evening, stay safe y'all and turn your weather radios on today, we're in for a rough ride.
ediddy Posted March 2, 2012 #4 Posted March 2, 2012 I hope everyone in Alabama is Ok and that the rest of the country comes out OK. Alfa insurance company in Alabama is probably wondering, what have we done to deserve this. They are already non renewing any house over 10 years old, non renewing any house that is tennant occupied and one of their agents said the are eventually getting out of the homeowner line. It may take a few years before they completely get out because of the regulartory approval they will have to go through. But the most important thing is I hope no one is hurt in any of the tornadoes.
