2005 RSTD oil plug has NO magnet??? Normal??? If normal is there a clearence problem??

Anyone tried one? Don't understand why anyone would not put a magnetic plug on from factory, especially on a bike with such a long factory warranty.

Many Thanks

Never heard of a Magnetic plug. Wouldn't an oil filter take care of that anyway?

I think the theory is that the magnet captures the particles and prevents it from floating around before it gets a chance to go through the filter.

It it is attached to the magnet it hasn't gone through the filter yet and won't go through the bearings, transmission, rings, oil pump and on and on and on. :sign yeah that:

:sign yeah that:change your oil at the first 300 to 500 miles on a new car/bike

and look at the oil and see all the metal floating around
