saddlebum Posted March 1, 2012 Share #51 Posted March 1, 2012 I once bought a cup of coffee at Tim Hortons. The cup said roll up the rim to win. I rolled up the rim and it said please play again. I walked up to the girl and said I won. She asked what did I won. I said a chance to play again. Could I have another cup.:rotfl: PS she did give me another cup . She too had a sense of humour. "sorry sir, you have to buy another coffee to play again" Of interest here tho is McD's will give you a free refill ... nobody else does that I am aware of. Starbucks charges an arm and a leg for their coffee yet they give no breaks on refills.
friesman Posted March 1, 2012 Share #53 Posted March 1, 2012 I like McD's better for coffee in the morning, its now a good blend of coffee (McD's used to have awful coffee) and they use a double walled cup so you dont burn your hands carrying it any distance. Plus I can have their oatmeal with fruit on top with a coffee for under 3 bucks, thats the same price as a donut and coffee and probably a bit better for me, plus I get free refills and i can use the free WIFI to plan my workday and do my tickets. Sailor Posted March 4, 2012 Share #56 Posted March 4, 2012 I just do not go to fast food joints. So far as I am concerned using the word "food" is false advertising. That being said I have been in line behind some jerk who is reaming out a clerk for something over which they have no control and which is not their fault. And by "reaming" I mean far worse than anything Rick may have done. It seems to give these jerks a sense of power and when they turn to grin at the people behind them I will inform them that they are the biggest $%#^&*^%$ and &^%$*& that I have ever seen. They leave, the rest of the people grin and I get great service.
