It has clean title, cleared of any obligations or fees (no lien). I want to close this deal through eBay Buyer Protection program. It will be shipped from Whitefish and I'll pay the delivery costs. It will arrive at your address in 3-5 days, then you'll have 5 days for inspection. I'll start the shipping process in the same day with the payment confirmation. eBay will keep the paid amount until you'll receive, inspect and agree with the ATV. This is their policy regarding this type of transactions. Tell me if you are still interested and I will contact eBay regarding our transaction. Then they will send you the information about the purchasing. . ----- Original Message ----- From: Daniel Woods To: r.sand01@msn.com Sent: Friday, February 24, 2012 5:51 PM Subject: RE: 2007 Honda RINCON 675cc with Snow Plow and Winch Give me address and cash price. Yammer Dan Posted February 25, 2012 Author #3 Posted February 25, 2012 Here is the ad http://www.searchtempest.com/results.php?location=25113&maxDist=500®ion_us=1&search_string=Yamaha+Venture&keytype=adv&Region=na&cityselect=zip&page=0&showeb=1&category=8&subcat=sss&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max
Yammer Dan Posted February 25, 2012 Author #5 Posted February 25, 2012 If it is scam I would like to set this lowlife on fire. I'm a little tired of crap. How would I go about this. What are the chances he would post it being 60 miles from me?
Rick Haywood Posted February 25, 2012 #6 Posted February 25, 2012 Here is the ad http://www.searchtempest.com/results.php?location=25113&maxDist=500®ion_us=1&search_string=Yamaha+Venture&keytype=adv&Region=na&cityselect=zip&page=0&showeb=1&category=8&subcat=sss&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max Dan If I read it correctly it is a dealer and the pictures are what appears to be a dealers store. I'd contact them and see. Plus you are going to pay for it till you see it right. Plus why would he want to do it through ebay if it is listed on Craigs List. Tell him you will be up to look at it and if you two work out a deal you will pay green cash money.

KIC Posted February 25, 2012 #11 Posted February 25, 2012 I say scam too. The pictures are of a brand new one. The price is too low and the shipping would eat a good portion of the price. If it's too good to be true..it probably is.....
Yammer Dan Posted February 25, 2012 Author #12 Posted February 25, 2012 He claims he will ship it and E-Bay will hold money til I approve sale. Clean title. I pay thru E-Bay??? If E-Bay would tell me this was true it might be worth a shot but I just can't believe it. The pics do look like new one but it only has 259 miles.... I'm dreaming.... I know better.
Flyinfool Posted February 25, 2012 #13 Posted February 25, 2012 ebay does NOT have an escrow service and does NOT participate in any deals. Period. SCAMMMMM!!!!!!!!
deepforkriver Posted February 25, 2012 #14 Posted February 25, 2012 Said the card dealer to Clark Griswold in Vegas Vacation: "Why don't you give me half the money you were going to spend, then we'll go out back, I'll kick you in the nuts and we'll call it a day!" :nanner:

After all, we are gonna have to help pay off their league/fines to get them here, one little jab wont hurt??....all in good fun Dan:stickpoke:

And I wear a steel cup!!
yamtom Posted February 25, 2012 #18 Posted February 25, 2012 I say scam too,, if that thing is thirty or forty percent or more below blue book, and he is claiming that ebay has an escrow service,,, SCAM I see lots of this stuff on CL in my area, usually, its been about a hundred miles away as per listing, but when you contact them,, the bs about being in the army, and its in storage in baumphawk Iowa or something comes out, and its usually, someone saying they are selling for their cousin or something,, forget about it. A local guy here, was trying to buy a gxr, at a bargain price, ended up actually sending money to a western union terminal,, ended up losing 5500 dollars to this kind of stuff.
Condor Posted February 25, 2012 #19 Posted February 25, 2012 The scammer is posting all over the US on Craigslist. I notified CL and they haven't done a damn thing about it. I even tried flagging because the ads are all posted in the wrong area, and they just keep coming daily.
ragtop69gs Posted February 25, 2012 #20 Posted February 25, 2012 That has scam all over it! That said, when I bought the '08 RSV trike last fall I also was skeptical because of the low price, after coming to a purchase agreement a member here was nice enough to go and look at / ride it, after his report to me I decided it was worth the 800 mile drive. All worked out well There are deals to be had out there but you must do your due diligence. No cash changed hands till I had possession and title in hand.
Condor Posted February 25, 2012 #21 Posted February 25, 2012 Here ya go Dan. How many do ya want?? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=yamaha+venture&srchType=A&minAsk=&maxAsk=
Freebird Posted February 25, 2012 #22 Posted February 25, 2012 Sometimes you will run across a great deal on Craigslist. I've bought a number of things off it. The red flag though is not usually just the price but the terms. If they say that they are in the service , out of the country, etc. and want to use some escrow service it is almost ALWAYS a scam. As has been said, Ebay does NOT have an escrow service. Don't be sucked in by this mess. If you can't look at it and make the exchange face to face then it is more than likely a scam.
cabreco Posted February 25, 2012 #23 Posted February 25, 2012 Here ya go Dan. How many do ya want?? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=yamaha+venture&srchType=A&minAsk=&maxAsk= Hey Condor, I'll see your multiple Craigslist scam & raise you indonesian listings. I googled the VIN https://www.google.com/#q=1fte337074200474&hl=en&safe=off&prmd=imvns&filter=0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=11abbd181fcfb93c&biw=1280&bih=617 Dan Definitlely a scam, If they won't/can't/don't show the vehicle) a cash buyer...it doesn't exist! Andy
Marcarl Posted February 25, 2012 #24 Posted February 25, 2012 Forget it Dan, you have a garage to build.
Yammer Dan Posted February 25, 2012 Author #25 Posted February 25, 2012 I told the A**wipe to show me the E-Bay ad it was going thru. He replied "I had it listed on E-Bay and couldn't get a buyer"
