Need to find place to sew on patches in San Antonio

I want to have some patches sewn on our vests, but do not want to have the pockets sewn shut. Anyone know where I can find someone in the San Antonio area that might possess such skills?

check with dry cleaners that do alterations, that is what I do here in San Diego Rod

Hey Jim, I quit sewing on patches years ago. Get some Plumbers or Automotive Goop at Lowes or Autozone. Stuff works great. I have patches that have been on for more than 6 years and that stuff just holds them. You may want to experiment on some other material but I have all my patches gooped on... The trick is in knowing how much to use so its not all over the place but right up to the edge. You ain't getting them off but by that time the vest or jacket is gone anyway. The stuff takes a while to setup so make sure its laying flat or they will slide...Don't ask me how I know that but they will.

I'm sure there is a store that sells letter jackets for the local high schools and sews on the patches. I use a local store here, she will even make patches or letters and charges $5 if you have one patch or more sewn on. Then i'll tip her a few bucks for doing it while I wait. Good luck
