Venturous Posted February 22, 2012 #1 Posted February 22, 2012 Total solar eclipses only occur somewhere in the world every 18 years or so. The next one will occur on August 21, 2017. While checking this out I found that the path of totality will pass in my area. In fact, it crosses right over the Cherahola Skyway. So, I think this would be a good place to ride and party on this day. Mark your Mayan calendar... Here are maps showing the path of totality... I will never forget being in Wilbur's BBQ parking lot in Goldsboro. It was really neat and there were people from many parts of the world there. It really was a strange experience.
