bj66 Posted February 22, 2012 #1 Posted February 22, 2012 I need some advice. About a year and a half ago, I got my 1st tattoo. It of course has meaning to me. Its my kids initials linked together chiseled out of stone. Anyway the other day I added to it. A stone circle seperated into 3 pieces, with the kids names written in each section. The names dont overpower the whole thing. I like the way it turned out, but cant make up my mind if I need to add some color, or just shade some of the middle some how. Maybe just leave it alone, as it is. Since it took me a year and a half to add to it, I'm just not gonna jump in and add a bunch of color etc. So I'll probly just let it go and not get into a hurry I guess What do you think.......
bj66 Posted February 22, 2012 Author #4 Posted February 22, 2012 Gonna get the nose ring as a celebration of the day I have to use a walker.......
bj66 Posted February 22, 2012 Author #5 Posted February 22, 2012 Shading, not color for that one... IMHO. I kinda agree I think. Whatever color you use would be alot....
Guest Posted February 22, 2012 #6 Posted February 22, 2012 Gonna get the nose ring as a celebration of the day I have to use a walker....... Hmmm, ill be on a walker soon enough...lol
bj66 Posted February 22, 2012 Author #7 Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) Yup, I figure the nose ring will draw attention away from the anti skid tennis balls that I would put on the bottom of the walker........... Edited February 22, 2012 by bj66 spelling
Wanderer Posted February 22, 2012 #8 Posted February 22, 2012 Yup, I figure the nose ring will draw attention away from the anti skid tennis balls that I would put on the bottom of the walker........... Certainly, this is a personal preference, but if it were me I'd add color to the letters. Some how it just seems to lack "the gotcha effect". OMO
09RSTD Posted February 22, 2012 #9 Posted February 22, 2012 Personal preference would be not to add color at this time. Being that this is your first tattoo if you put color on this tattoo then every other tattoo you get will also need to be color to match. You can always add color later if you decide to go that route. I also wouldn't shade it any more at this time. Leave it as it is. When and if you decide to get another tattoo then thats when you can decide on a "theme" for you tattoos.
bongobobny Posted February 22, 2012 #10 Posted February 22, 2012 I would say it's fine as is and doesn't need anything at this time...
RedRider Posted February 22, 2012 #11 Posted February 22, 2012 What's the plan when the next kid arrives? RR

Marcarl Posted February 22, 2012 #13 Posted February 22, 2012 Don't have any preference, I kind of like the way I was made, and after passing the 30 year old mark, am quite used to it by now. To go and change my looks at this point would only confuse me.
Yammer Dan Posted February 22, 2012 #14 Posted February 22, 2012 One of the things that shouts "I got this Tat in jail" is having no color. I have a slightly used walker.... ok I'll go get some coffee.
