I was wondering if anyone knows of a site or forum that tells which parts and accessories are interchangable between motorcycle models? Such as what Harley parts fit the RSTD or Venture. I know some parts/ accessories in the Yamaha line fit each other. It would be a big help if this info were in one place. If anyone has mixed or matched parts please let us know.

I hereby give everybody permission, that if I knowingly use/install/brag/or even smile about using a Harley part on ANY of my bikes, you may shoot/electrocute/slice/stab/discombobulate me in any way shape or form.

 

Exclusion: This does not apply should Big Tom ride his snow sled over and install anything in the dead of night.

I kinda feel the same way but, I ride with a lot of Harley guys and they always have cool stuff to add to their bikes. Yamaha falls way short especially for the Roysl Star / Venture models. I know others have adapted parts and accessories. Lots of parts and stuff are interchangable between the Yamaha models but you never know about it.

Heck, with enough JB weld, bailun wire, duck tape, one of them there flaming hack saws(cutten torch) a good welder and some beers---we can make most anything fit perty good. However if it is an original Harley part, it may well fall off before you get to your final destination.

kic I already got harley parts on my 91...........08 ultra mufflers............loved them when I put them on and even more now that they have been on a while ....the tone seems to have gotten better

That's because the Ventures have enough power to blow all the old, accumulated oil outta the pipes.

The only two parts that fit both are the biker and the passenger. But there is one problem, while you can swap back the two RSV parts, the Harley ones won't ever leave. :rotf:

Is this a good time to tell you the 99 has HD parts on it? Or should I let it be a surprise?

Hey, that site lists the Harley helmet, harley jacket, harley scarf, harley pants and harley boots are all interchangeable, who'd of thunk??

I had a few HD parts on my Venture, they were by far the best looking chrome pieces on the bike. They do a good job on there chrome.

I bought a set of Hardley Pipes and traded them off when I got another 1st Gen.....
