I'm still waiting to hear back from the manager... I'll call him later today but when I talked to him last week he did say that the rates posted are last years rates and will definately change before prime season. I'll post an update once I get some new info.

For those on a budget there are also a few rooms available for a single travaller that are a no frills room , single bed, tv, sink toilet shower. but no A/C . If I remember these are 47 bucks a night, these are a great alternative to camping.

I started a new job last Tuesday.... this has been the first time in my life I have been with out work so a month off was a very long time to me. I got the schedual for the future months and it would seem I will not be Krusi'n the Kootenays this year. I am sure you are all aware of the dificulties of finding a good job these days....so I took the best one that came my way but I am not permitted to take holidays for 6 months.

 

I have a room booked at the Grand Hotel so if anyone wants it can you contact me before I call them to give up my reservation so I can give them your name to fill the spot... you will have to also contact and give CC details and stuff.

Hey Brian, we have a ride here you can make, assuming you don't have to work weekends. Last weekend in August we have our Santa Clause toy run here on Saltspring. We will open up the Farmers Institute on Friday for those who want to camp. The ride starts at 11:am on Saturday followed by bike games and BBQ. There is a dinner and dancing that evening. Don't have everything finalized yet but when we do I will post it here. 1st year 40+ bikes, 2nd year 80+ bikes, this year figuring on aprox 120-150 or so.
