I was 16 in 1970,

Honda 305 dream. Then a honda 350 then a 59 panhead

Legaly?

2 cylinder BSA 650 and it was a POS pardon my french.

Never ran right, electrics were terrible, no lights.

I think it was originally some sort of hill climber or something.

2 years of that cured me of BSA for good. :rotf:

Yamaha DS-7 (350cc I think) at age 16. I think the bike was an early 70s.

When I first started riding street bikes.... legally ... was in 1969 and I was 22. It was a 1969 Yamaha twin 2-stroke that I bought new. I fried the engine twice while I had it. For some reason those bikes just weren't capable of hauling 2 adults down the freeway for any duration.

17 moved up to 400 Kawasaki,

18 had a Honda CB750F.

I was 20 in 87 and my first street bike was a 1100 vfr intercepter. with a hot rodded motor. As I remember it would do 97 mph in first gear

1959 at 13 years old I had a Cushman Turtle back and then a Cushman Eagle and by 1963 I had a Honda (250 Scrambler I think) and then it was "Katy" bar the door. So many since then.

In 1974 I got my license and bought a 1969 Honda CB250, I drive it everywhere until my brother crashed in the fall of 1976.

1974 Yamaha RD250 2stroke. Put 11000 miles on it in a year and it didn't have a signal left on it. I think I crashed it 3 times that year and didn't crash again until Feb 2005. Hopefully I can go another 30 years before I have another. Didn't get hurt in any of those three but got hurt pretty bad in the last one.
