warriorhoneybee Posted February 17, 2012 #1 Posted February 17, 2012 whats the differance between the levaling links and the barron lowering link? sorry for the dumb question.http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/Barons_Rear_Lowering_Kit_Royal_Star_Venture_p/ba-7530-00.htm
Freebird Posted February 17, 2012 #2 Posted February 17, 2012 Leveling links actually raise the rear of the bike about an inch to level it up and improve handling. The Baron's kit LOWERS the rear of the bike to help those who need the seat lower to the ground.
warriorhoneybee Posted February 17, 2012 Author #3 Posted February 17, 2012 thanks boss man, thats what i thought but last time i thought it coast me dearly. P.S. i've been practicing my spanish so look out carb covers!!! LOL
54chevybelair Posted February 18, 2012 #5 Posted February 18, 2012 If you lower the rear does it handle worse? I would like to touch better, but not at the expense of handling.
Owen Posted February 18, 2012 #6 Posted February 18, 2012 If you lower the rear does it handle worse? I would like to touch better, but not at the expense of handling. Like a pig in mud... I lowered the front of my '08 which leveled it out and brought it back to normal handling. You can just slide the fork tubes up in the clamps a bit to compensate for the lowered rear.
Mike G in SC Posted February 18, 2012 #7 Posted February 18, 2012 Just had it done TODAY,,,, lowered the front! A week or two back I posted, looking form some one who knew what they were doing that could lower the FRONT of my RSV. I got a reply from Bill Little,,, Wild Bill on this forum. We just spent the day lowering the front. Bill knows his stuff. He is a retired mechanic and lowered his Venture,, and did mine today. He lives near Mooresville, NC (Lake Norman) and said he is available if you want it done. His fee is very reasonable. Please email me (or PM) if you want to get this done. I'll put you in contact. He also said if you get the Baron's kit for the rear, he can do both front and rear,,, also for what I consider a good price. Wow,,,, what a difference. I've had the bike for over a year and TODAY, it's mine. Mike G in SC mikeginsc@bellsouth.net
