Yammer Dan Posted February 14, 2012 #30 Posted February 14, 2012 May have to work on the Saab. "Brown Sugar" and "Ugly" I'm not too worried about.. I've never put it against clock but that Saab has a lot of scat. I've busted the new Hemi with it pretty easy and one of the new Camaros that wanted to play.
Eddie Posted February 14, 2012 Author #31 Posted February 14, 2012 What was the Elapsed Time/MPH/60' time for the car? Gary I will have to dig out the slips, my 60' times were off because of traction. You cant see it in the video but the car is leaving the line side ways. I now have a line lock on it so I can heat up the drag radios. Should cut my time down in the low 11's . That was a 2010 5.0 Mustang with a procharger that got his a$$ handed to him. I lost one race that day against a 80's Mustang tubbed out drag car. If the track would have been 100' longer I would of caught him.
Eddie Posted February 14, 2012 Author #32 Posted February 14, 2012 [ame] [/ame] I felt sorry for this guy . He came to the track with this car on a trailer all fancy like. Changed the tires to slicks and had all the fancy stuff on the inside . He beat me off the line but at mid track I caught and passed him . On my way out I had to pass him putting his car back on the trailer I had my daughter in the Vette I rolled down the window because my air was on and told him nice race and drove home. What a smart a$$ he said . lol
Yammer Dan Posted February 14, 2012 #33 Posted February 14, 2012 Started like he was going somewhere. Maybe he had to check his map?? The one Hardley that I beat around here had all the attitude the bigger engine and everything. It looked good sounded Great. I was a little worried. I destroyed him. He started making all kinds of excuses til sombody said. "I think its the rider!!" He went nuts!! I got out of there. He won't talk to me anymore?? Not Harley bashing Ed. It was just funny if you were there. He wanted to fight!! I didn't want to tell me that wouldn't be much of a contest either.... See ya at MD??
icebrrg3rd Posted February 14, 2012 #34 Posted February 14, 2012 A few years a go I tested the Fat Boy low when it came out. Rigid mounted engine, that thing numbed my arms within 10 minutes. The mirrors? Useless, couldn't see anything but multiple blurs. And the low part - I was constantly scraping the floorboards. So not a big fan of that one. This last fall I took out a Road Glide. This one specifically, on the HD Test Drive Tour. http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc499/icebrrg3rd/Misc%20Bikes/RoadGlideSmall.jpg I could've kept on going. I'd get it. Love the frame mounted fairing like the 1st gen Ventures but the slightly forward floorboards of the 2nd gen. As for passenger space, I usually am riding alone, so no comments on that. I've also done the Victory Cross Country & Vision. I'd ride both too. But my budget doesn't allow for expensive motorcycle, and I'm quite happy with my Venture. As for name brand clothing? I'll take free or cheap t-shirts. No HD nor Yamaha emblazened jackets/pants/shoes/underwear/etc. And if you'll ride with me, I'll ride with you. Doesn't matter what kind of bike you ride. And if I bash, I bash all, Yamaha included. It's usually the biker that I bash, not the bike, tho. -Andrew
Carbon_One Posted February 14, 2012 #35 Posted February 14, 2012 Eddie you running the Vette at Milan Dragway? It's been years since I've been there and at Detroit Dragway. Detroit Dragway's been closed a number of years now thou. Larry
Redneck Posted February 14, 2012 #36 Posted February 14, 2012 After looking at the prices of there clothing I have a new respect for the HD threads. Its a very expensive fashion statement. I picked up a sweatshirt at the dealer and was going to buy it till I seen the 65.00 tag on it. Im not cheap but there's limits. I know two guys that dress in all this stuff and have never owned a motorcycle. I need to get these two together because they could start a club.Did you buy the leather panties for the wife or did you put those back to? I've had a harley for about a year now and the only thing I have that says harley on it is the motorcycle.

Milan there is so many people that your lucky to get 3 runs in a day.

I've had a harley for about a year now and the only thing I have that says harley on it is the motorcycle. that would of been a good present for today. I do wear there boots. I have been for years because I like the fit. but you never know what you will find.

If yamaha would build something new they would of got my business, but Ive been told that they would have to bring the RSV to the new epa laws if they change anything but color.
Yammer Dan Posted February 15, 2012 #40 Posted February 15, 2012 It make you wonder about Mama Yamaha. Seems she would listen. CHANGE SOMETHING!!!!
