playboy Posted February 12, 2012 #1 Posted February 12, 2012 Finally got a chance to get everything cleaned up and out for the promised pics. Thanks again for all the information on the Hitch and Trailer Wiring. Freebirds write up on the Modulite convertor made the wiring painless and simple even though I used a Hopkins. http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64094&stc=1&d=1329086969http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64095&stc=1&d=1329086969http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64096&stc=1&d=1329086969http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64097&stc=1&d=1329086969http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64098&stc=1&d=1329086969http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64099&stc=1&d=1329086969http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64100&stc=1&d=1329086969

wrenchrob Posted February 12, 2012 #4 Posted February 12, 2012 Looks great!!! How about you put some snowtires on, fill the trailer with inexpensive American beer and come on up to this side of the boarder?
pickinfred Posted February 12, 2012 #5 Posted February 12, 2012 Great Job !! Hard to believe you were "bored" last week, finishing up a job like that:stickpoke:

playboy Posted February 12, 2012 Author #8 Posted February 12, 2012 Nice!! Looks good!! Now drag it to Texas!!! Will be our maiden voyage and looking forward to it.
pickinfred Posted February 13, 2012 #9 Posted February 13, 2012 Just got an idea......Is there a reciever tube on the trailer ? The F-4 (that I bought) does cost me 2-3 MPGs running 65+ MPH
Marcarl Posted February 13, 2012 #12 Posted February 13, 2012 Nice job, looks good. Now all you need is a license plate on that trailer so we can tell who you are......... and I would shorten the chains on that trailer. If for some reason that hitch came off of the ball, the hitch could dig into the road surface and send you for quite a loop. I keep mine as short as possible, so that if it should come detached, the chain will catch the hitch before it has a chance to hit the road or the rear tire. Enjoy the trip!
hunter 1500 Posted February 13, 2012 #13 Posted February 13, 2012 Is that an America's Best Trailer. That's where I got mine off Ebay but mine is all diamond plate. So far I like it but the latch at the back is messed up.

Yammer Dan Posted February 13, 2012 #15 Posted February 13, 2012 Very Sharp!!! They make me want one when I see them but 1st Gen luggage holds all I need. Maybe that would help convince Warden to go along??
