Transfagarasan – Romania

 

 

 

Thats my dream road. My son will be there this summer, his girlfriend (soon to be wife) is from Romania and they are going with her family for a visit. Now wouldn't it be a great Fathers day gift if he took me with them? heck, just let me rent a motorcycle and I'd be out of their hair as long as they want.

I'm afraid there's a few good rides missing from that list, like Deals Gap (Blue Ridge Parkway) for one, and one of my favourite rides, the Cabot Trail:

The Ortega Hwy in so. cal. is a greatride. It runs from Capistrano to Lake Elsinore with great sweeping turns, hairpins, good views, 2 bar/restaurants that favor bikes and bikers, and a couple campgrounds for those inclined. Try it you'll like it!

ive done the Keys obviuosly, but also have been on the Jabel in UAE....in a HUMMV.
