Maybe the previous owner was made an offer he couldn't refuse. The 130 has less rubber on the road, but ridden moderately it won't cause a problem. Yamaha chose 140, and we are generally wise not to try to out-think them unless we have good reason. Advantage of the 130 ... It's cheaper and lighter. The bike will turn in more quickly but lose a fraction of it's stability. You may lose some "gross weight" capacity. It will brake and grip a little less well.
