Stache Posted February 9, 2012 #26 Posted February 9, 2012 I went from a V-Star 950 to a new 2009 leftover RSTD last april. Once I figured out that you REALLY, REALLY want to be almost perfectly upright as you stop, and that you want to be moving before you start to turn at slow speed, I got used to it fairly quickly. Don't ask me how I learned those lessons.... Only maintenance issue I've had was the 'chirp' in the rear wheel, and the dealer fixed it immediately... Some RSV / RSTD make a quiet chirping sound in the rear wheel. Mine was only audible when pushing it engine off. Well known issue, doesn't do any damage in normal use, and easily corrected. Haven't ridden the RSV so I cant comment there, but the RSTD is a FABULOUS machine.
