halfwitt Posted February 5, 2012 #1 Posted February 5, 2012 Does anyone have any experience with this product? https://www.denniskirk.com/slime/mini-smart-spare-kit.p282558.prd/282558.sku I like the compact pump. My saddlebags fill up fast when we are gone for more than a few days.
friesman Posted February 5, 2012 #2 Posted February 5, 2012 http://www.webbikeworld.com/r3/motorcycle-tire-air-pump/slime-pump-vs-airman-sparrow/ Its not a real flattering review, plus Ive heard that using SLime in aluminum wheels might be corrosive, but I have no confirmation. Brian
halfwitt Posted February 5, 2012 Author #3 Posted February 5, 2012 yeah that wasn't a very flattering review. I think I'll look at the Sparrow a bit more.
Condor Posted February 5, 2012 #4 Posted February 5, 2012 I'd suggest trying Ride-On. I did run it in my '83. Never did pick up anything to cause a flat so I can't vouch for it's sealing charactoristics, but there are a ton of good revues on the stuff. It also fine tunes the balance of the tire. While running it in the AVON Venom I could feel the difference. Very smooth.....
Owen Posted February 5, 2012 #5 Posted February 5, 2012 I carry the Slime kit along with a plug kit. I have used it twice and it worked perfectly. I have used the compressor 100's of times to fill bicycle tires at the rallies.
