Daytona Bike Week 2012

I am gonna camp out at the Cabbage Patch the 9th-11th and ride from there.

I have a friend visiting from NY state, she's going to tell me where she's staying. I will take a ride up and stay over night, to see her. and maybe a M&G

I try to stay as far away from that place during bike week as possible. Anyone coming by Charleston SC are welcome to stop by our place.

Several people from work are planing to go down on the 14th. We only spend the day and come back that evening. I'll have at least 2 more days off that week so I might try to make it down another day too.

As of now we are planning on going over from Central Fl (US 27) for bike week on the 17th. Waiting to see if some friends from Sarasota are interested in riding up with us, so departure time is unknown as of now. Usually go over taking back roads and then spend a few hours looking around and leave over there say 4ish or so.

Why in gods name would you ride all the way down there to ride 10 mph with a bunch of smelly bikers?

I have had a GoPro camera for a couple years.... I have never caught anything "real interesting" while riding. Figure that my odds, of checking that off the bucket list, would improve at Daytona during bike week.

I will be there on the 1st and staying the weekend till we go over to Orlando for 10 days. Staying at the Boardwalk

We are staying at the Hawiian, will get there sometime the 9th, and leaving the 15th.

I'll be there working the antique and classic motorcycle auction... http://www.daytonaauction.com/ ... it's NOT at Stetson University this year cuz Bike week got pushed back a week and school is in session that week... it will be at the Fairgrounds in Deland on Rte 44 near I-4...

Went there for bike week 5 or 6 years ago.

 

The welcoming committee consisted of county cops at US#1 & 95 giving tickets for passing on the right.

 

If you need gas at the station up on the right,, go ahead and sit in traffic for 1/2 hour and push the bike. Cause if you short cut it to get to the station you may have a deputy step out of the bushes and point his finger at you.

That fill up cost me and my friend $120 each,,, besides the cost of the gas.

 

Someone had a very good day,,,, and made lot's of money.

 

But,,, other than that,,,,

Mike are you taking about the interchange there @ Destination Daytona or like one below that. I think I know where your talking about and its just a #$^% I agree. But anytime you have that kind of crowds the LEO's are going to be out. Atleast the town hasnt run the event out of town.

My first time going up for biketober a buddy and I were going along 95 I had changed lanes to left and he didnt. He got stuck trying to make the exit for Destinataion Daytona and I missed it and went up to the next exit (like 11 miles) and doubled back, made my right and was still there before him.
