friesman Posted January 29, 2012 #2 Posted January 29, 2012 I am loving this warmest winter we have had for years, ESPECIALLY after last winters record cold AND snow..... They can keep all that cold weather up there, I hate it when those American cold fronts move into our airspace.... , BUT, we Canadians will happily send it farther south to share with our southern friends if it does show up here. AKRefugee Posted February 6, 2012 #3 Posted February 6, 2012 Spent 32 years up there with five plus in the Interior/Fairbanks area and 6 years north of the arctic circle. More than once I woke up to -50F temps and colder. Coldest wind chill was -115F at Camp Lonely and coldest non-windchill was -65F in Coldfoot. And that is why I am the AKRefugee. My bones are to damn old for that kind of cold.
