Looking for a handful of parts/items Redux

I started this thread in another section, but thought it might be better here.

 

I have a 1987 Venture Royale and need a few items. Most of these were lifted off the bike while at a shop getting a tune up.

 

 

Rider and passenger attachable bags

1 Intercom/Radio volume knob

Cassette deck cover

Left engine side cover vent

 

 

 

Needless to say if anyone has a line on these items please let me know.

Coolant bottle cap (not radiator)

1 engine side cover band (rubber piece holding bottom of cover)

Cassette cover is still available from Yamaha I think. Use to be able to get them from BikeBandit.

I think I have one of the caps for the reserve water bottle, I will look.

He was kind enough to send it to me, and I am eagerly awaiting it's arrival.

 

One thing I can say about people on forums like this is a strong desire to help each other. On a car forum I participate in, a poster needed a throttle body and I sent him an old spare. He expected to pay for it being a pricey item, but I just told him to pay it forward. So who knows, his kind deed might be part of the whole concept of pay it forward.

Yep...this group is always willing to help a fellow or lady member. I got burned one time and it wasn't here...it wasn't even a Venture specific forum. A guy wanted to buy a stock passenger seat from an RSV. I had one and told him he could have it for the cost of shipping. He was excited and said you bet. I sent it to him and then emailed him the cost of shipping...wasn't much...and never heard from him again. You know what though, I really didn't even get mad about it. I just figured if he needed it that bad and was that broke, I was still happy to help him out. I won't let a single incident like that sour my opinion of all the great folks that we have around here.

That rubber side cover holder is still available from the dealer for about $5. I've seen them go for two or three times that on eBay.

Always check bike bandit or flatout motorcycles (even better) for availability and/or price before you bid on eBay for parts for your bike.
